These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SILK website and services. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or receiving services from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
SILK provides aesthetic services, including but not limited to laser hair removal and facial treatments. Services are provided by trained professionals and are intended for cosmetic and wellness purposes only.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Our services are available to clients ages 18 and older, and to clients ages 13–17 with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian:
Provide consent prior to treatment
Complete all required intake and consent forms
Be present at the appointment, if required by local regulations or treatment type
We do not provide services to children under the age of 13.
3. Appointments and Booking
Appointments must be scheduled in advance through our website or approved booking platforms. By booking an appointment, you agree that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.
By booking, you authorize SILK to:
Charge your selected payment method for consultation fees, approved services, late cancellation fees, and no-show fees in accordance with these Terms
Store your payment information securely through third-party processors for future charges related to your booking
Enforce the cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies outlined below
SILK reserves the right to refuse or cancel appointments at our discretion, including for safety, health, behavioral, or compliance reasons.
4. Consultation Fees
Some services may require a consultation fee at the time of booking. If collected, the consultation fee will be applied toward your future booked services.
Consultation fees are non-refundable in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.
No-Shows: Clients who fail to arrive for their appointment without notice will be charged the full cost of the scheduled appointment.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.
All applicable cancellation or no-show fees will be charged to the payment method on file.
6. Payments and Fees
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise stated. We accept approved payment methods as listed on our website.
Prices are subject to change without notice. Package purchases, prepaid services, and promotional pricing are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
7. Stored Payment Information
To facilitate booking, deposits, and enforcement of cancellation policies, SILK securely stores client payment information through third-party booking and payment processors, including Square and Acuity Scheduling.
By booking an appointment, you authorize SILK to store your payment information in accordance with Square’s and Acuity’s security and privacy standards, and to charge the card on file for:
Consultation fees
Late cancellation fees
No-show fees
Approved service charges
SILK does not have direct access to full card details and does not store payment information on its own servers.
8. Health Disclosures and Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete health, skin, and treatment history information, including but not limited to:
Medical conditions
Medications
Skin sensitivities
Pregnancy status
Failure to disclose relevant information may increase the risk of adverse reactions and releases SILK from liability related to undisclosed conditions.
9. Treatment Results and Risks
Results from laser hair removal and facial treatments vary by individual. SILK does not guarantee specific results.
You acknowledge that aesthetic treatments carry inherent risks, including but not limited to redness, irritation, burns, hyperpigmentation, or allergic reactions, and you agree to proceed at your own discretion.
10. Home-Based Studio Environment
SILK operates as a home-based studio. By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree that services are provided within a private residence designated and set up for professional treatments.
Clients agree to:
Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
Respect the private nature of the residence
Remain only in designated studio areas
Follow all studio policies, safety guidelines, and staff instructions
SILK reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a client’s behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.
11. Website Use
You agree not to misuse this website or attempt to access restricted areas. All website content, including text, images, logos, and branding, is the property of SILK and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SILK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
SILK’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in question.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SILK from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of our services.
14. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
15. Changes to These Terms
SILK may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.
